The Mountain / 106.3 WXMT and Olean’s 98.7 is the Radio station you help us program. And thanks to a Mountain listener…Robert from Smethport…we recently added “Angel Eyes” by The Jeff Healey Band to our musical library here at The Mountain.
Released in June 1989 by Toronto native Jeff Healey, “Angel Eyes” is a song written by John Hiatt and Fred Koller, produced by Greg Ladanyi for The Jeff Healey Band’s first album See the Light (1988). It was first released as the album’s second single in June 1989. The song debuted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 on June 17, 1989 at number eighty-five.[1] It took a few weeks to rise but it eventually peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 spending twenty-two weeks in it. It was also the seventieth highest selling single in the U.S. for 1989. The song was also used in the 1989 film Road House.
The Mountain / 106.3 WXMT and Olean’s 98.7 features the Twin Tiers’ biggest music library and we’re always working to provide real Rock and Roll variety!
WXMT Morning Show Presenter, Andrew, is an area native that has worked in radio since High School. Andrew loves getting up early in the morning and presenting a great variety of “Rock Without the Hard Edge” for his listeners and loves even more to share community information to the Twin Tiers.
Email him anytime, Andrew@Colonial.CC to make a request, send a congratulatory wish to a friend or to share anything else that is on your mind. When not on the air Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and playing hockey!
Join Amy Taylor, noon ’til 6pm , Monday through Saturday! Amy was born and raised in the Midwest, and studied broadcasting and recording inPhoenix.
Says Amy, ” I have a wonderful husband who keeps me out of trouble and two dogs. Both dogs are rescues, so all I can say is one looks like a bulldog and the other a German Shepard. My husband and I are not really sure what they are. I enjoy talking, (duh!) and rock music! I wanted to be Joan Jett growing up but I just don’t look good with short hair. I was also terrible at guitar so radio was the life for me!”
Listen to Amy Monday through Saturday for lots of music, and rock without the potty talk. Rock for grown-ups or rock for people who have to act like grown-ups at work. Email Amy at : amy@colonial.cc
